Kovalam



Kovalam known as the 'Paradise of the South' Kovalam which literally means a grove of coconut trees, is one of the most renowned Kovalam beaches in India and a favourite haunt of Europeans since the 1930s. Kovalam consists of three successive crescent beaches, Lighthouse Beach, the Hawaa Beach and the Samudra Beach.

Accommodation and transportation facilities of all quailty are available in this tourist spot. Sunbathing, Swimming, Ayurvedic rejuvenation, Yoga and Meditation, Herbal body massages, special cultural programmes, catamaran cruising etc. are available in plenty. The sea mostly remains calm and shallow which makes it deal for surfing and swimming. The underwater views are also really amazing. It is located 16km away from the capital city of kerala which is connected with by road, rails and international airport.
